Under the Wings of an Angel: Ch 4

Huuh.. This is weird.. It smells like Ryo.. Yuffie stirred a little.
But.. I'm at home, aren't I?

Yuffie opened her eyes, but just enough so that no one would realize that she was waking up... If anyone was up at all.

It was still dark out, but Yuffie figured that there was a few hours before School. She didn't mind this, but chills went down her spine when she saw a certain whitette near her.
Ryo was sitting by her on the floor, eating what looked like cereal. He looked a bit tired.

Maybe he just woke up, himself.

Yuffie closed her eyes and buried her head into the blanket, taking in Ryo's scent. The blanket did smell like lavender, but that was probably from being washed recently. It was that slight smell of tea in the blanket along with the smell of boy that made Yuffie make a small 'nng' sound. It was comforting and the fox couldn't get enough of it. Yuffie felt his hair move as Ryo lifted his head a little. Might have thought that She was only stirring. Yuffie smiled a bit until she felt a warm hand hesitantly rub the base of her right ear. Her tail twitched a little under the blanket from the soft hand's affection. Yuffie's eyes opened halfway and quickly met with Ryo's. The boy looked slightly suprised for a moment. "Hello, Yuffie... Did you have a nice sleep?" The fox nodded a bit, stifling a yawn. She mewed as Ryo stopped petting her. "Ryuuu...-kyuuun..nyaah.." Yuffie sat up and stretched. "So I fell asleep here... Gomen'nasaii.."
Ryo turned to his breakfast. "It's okay."  He said as he twirled the spoon in his right hand.
Yuffie stood and looked around. She blushed as she realised that she was still in her Seifuku. Oh no! i didnt change.. what am i to do?!

the fox girl slowly turned to Ryo with a frightful look in her eyes.
"R-R-Ryo-kun...  Uh.. I wasn't planing for t-this to be a sleep over... Uh.. May I please borrow some clothing..?"
Ryo nodded shyly, placed his bowl on the table, and ran into his room.

I'm suprised he's doing this for me...

A few moments later he returned with a green shirt and a pair of jeans.
"Thess may be a little big.. I hope you don't mind.." The whittette said, his cheeks turning a peachy color.
"It's okay. I usually wear big clothes, anyways." Yuffie mewed as she took the clothes. "Now, no peeking while I change, okie?" She giggled as she said that. Ryo looked at her wide eyed. his face was now cherry red. "N-N-No! I-I wouldn't do THAT!!.. Urr.." He was so embarrassed. How cute. Yuffie cocked her head a bit, grinning ear to ear. "Be back in a minute."
..

"It's not too big.. Hehe.."
Ryo stared in suprise as Yuffie pranced around in his clothes. The shirt wasn't too big, but the pants were touching the ground.
Ryo looked away. "You look.. Awesome.. Muh.." He covered his beet red face.

Well, this is weird.. He's blushing.. Yuffie's ears perked. Wait, this doesn't mean that...
He shares my feelings?!?! Uuwaahh!!

Yuffie looked at the British boy. "Thanks, Ryo...Kun.."
Ryo looked at her, his eyes closed and trying to pull a poker-face, but his red cheeks just made him look like a fool.. A rather adorable, white haired fool. "No problem."
"Well, please show me to the Laundry room.." 

Several minutes passed. Yuffie was now sitting on a bench, bored out of her mind, waiting for her seifuku. The Laundry room was especially busy, with people rushing in and out of the room. Frigging... 'Thing'... Uughh.. Ryo was staring at a DDR machine. The start-up screen was about to play the demo when the Whitette inserted a few coins. "Want to play?" Yuffie stared at him, a bit red. "Uh, if it's okay with you." Ryo nodded and reached out to her. "I insist." Yuffie turned cherry red and gently grasped his hand.

Ryo pulled her up to the DDR pad and started tapping the buttons. He put the game on 'Standard Mode' and he was about to select the song when Yuffie glanced over to him with puppy... Erm, Foxxy eyes. Ryo stared at her, his Columbia Blue eyes sparkling. "You want to choose the song?"
Yuffie looked away. "...Maybe.."
Ryo stepped back to let Yuffie in. She nervously tiptoed towards the control panel and tapped the arrows until she found the song 'Favorite Things'.
The two tapped the beat with their feat while they waited for the game to start.

Ryo bombed the game during the first chorus: He seemed to skip while doing the double-beats. His hair was waving as he skipped around. The smooth movements of the duo had quickly attracted a crowd. That's when Yuffie decided to sing her own version of the song.

"Tiny red Shibas and their delightful oogles,
stuffed animals and yummy ramen noodles,
Spending my time with the best boy in the world,
These are few things that never get old! ♪"

Ryo took his eyes off the screen and stared at Yuffie as she finished the line. He looked confused and was utterly cherry red.
He returned his eyes to the screen. It was nearing the end of the song, so he did the last chorus.

"When the storm strikes,
When im 'lone here,
When there is nothing to do,
I simply remember her cute face,
Then I know im needed, here, dear~!"

Yuffie's pupils dialated and the fox almost fell to the floor.
He's suprisingly good at singing! His voice is like a church bell..
 Ryo held back a chuckle as they finished the song.
They had about 42 people there clapping and whistling. Ryo and Yuffie had beaten the previous highscore by about 10,000 points.

"Wow.." Yuffie mewed.
Ryo nodded. "Indeed."

"Oh My Aphrodite! My Seifuku!!!"
